Mr. Mei Hongyuan, Dean from College of Architecture in HIT met MCM Representatives to discuss joining HIT’s Design Alliance

Harbin, PRC. Dean Mei, representing HIT’s College of Architecture, welcomed a team from MCM including MCM’s CEO, Michael Mitchell, to discuss cooperative agreements between both parties. After detailed discussions and review of MCM’s sustainable design work, MCM was invited to participate in the university’s experimental design area.

Three specific areas of interest were reviewed: 1.) MCM joining their Design Alliance for cold regions; 2.) jointly undertaking research projects in sustainable design; and 3.) having MCM provide training programs for graduate students both at HIT and through internship programs in MCM’s U.S. office. Both parties agreed to quickly implement their cooperation.

After the formal meeting, Dean Mei and Yu Yang, the school’s Graduate Student Advisor escourted the MCM team for a tour of the school, including design workshops, classrooms and a meeting with the school’s famous design magazine editor.
