MCM won the international competition to plan a tourism interpretive center on the site of the former Imperial Summer Palace. Designed as a cultural center, the project includes a 4 and 5 star hotel, a massive historical show, amphitheater, three premier museums, a tea house, balloon attraction, and specialty landscaping including historical monuments. The site layout is based upon the outline of a Phoenix bird, an auspicious mythical creature that heralds the dawn of a new age.
